The only way Christ influences us is Via his teachings, to do otherwise violates free will, the gift, the curse.

We are responsible for all the crap we do, as we are for all the good we do and the reasons for al the crap and good we do.

We have Jesus's teachings, not just selected parts that can be used to justify doing crap or even expecting crap, but his WHOLE teachings and when we choose to do the opposite then we have ourselvs to blame.

Doing atrocities in the name of Christ and God is NOT fooling anyone, we do them in OUR name and for OUR wants and desires.

Time to stop passing the buck.

To everyone who isn't aware: Nukes kept us from going to war with the Soviet Union.

Sad emo, I didn't say that it's prevented all war.

Nope, but you did say this:

Perhaps if you read any books other than the Bible you would realize that those "weapons of mass destruction" are the one thing that has kept humanity out of countless wars and bloodshed.

How much war and bloodshed do you expect to see before it becomes 'countless'?

I think that Christianity and Buddhism share a huge degree of perversion in regard to the founders original intention.

I also think that none of us would be sitting here typing these posts on computers in a technological age, if Christianity never appeared. History would have turned out much differently.

If God left so much up to us, why did he give us a book with such a shitty script for us to live and a terrible ending, one that we CANNOT change.

    It all must play out!!!

How are those countries that have nukes and have participated in a huge stand off now doing economically? How many nukes did they really need to achieve said stand off in the first place? How much cash has the military industrial complex sucked up over the last 30 years?

Bullshit. We write our own scripts. A love story or a tragedy. Our choice.
