Thanks for the update, I had been wondering what happened with that.
I can't believe he is not getting the death penalty!!! Just life w/out parole, that makes me sick on my stomach!!!
Kirkpatrick asked if the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith teaches ways one should react when confronted with anger. Fay said responding in a controlled, peaceful, loving way is what the Bible teaches.
Earlier in the trial, Kirkpatrick suggested if Jarka’s calm demeanor when police accuse him of killing his wife was the way people of this faith are taught to behave.
Jarka’s brother-in-law, Paul McGraw, himself an elder, testified there was nothing in the faith that would prevent someone from defending themselves against bogus allegations.
Fay also testified that he worked on a home in De Luz for more than a year for Jarka.
Jarka talked about his desire to buy the property where a home was being built, Fay testified. Isabelle Jarka had asked if there were rats in the area and if the property was a good property, he said.
Deputy District Attorney Burke Strunsky asked Fay if he knew Jarka reportedly hit his daughter on the arm in the weeks before Isabelle Jarka’s death. Fay said he did not, but that information didn’t change his opinion that Jarka was not a violent person.
Friend Elias Rodriguez testified the Jarka’s appeared to be a happily married couple during his visit with them in April 2008.
Strunsky asked Rodriguez if he was aware the Jarka’s daughter testified the couple’s fighting was growing more intense in the weeks before Isabelle’s death and divorce was mentioned. Rodriguez said he was not aware of that. Testimony resumes tomorrow.
If convicted, Jarka faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
JW's as well as workmates testify as character witnesses for the accused murdurer. Was glad to see that her family had many on their side of the courtroom as well.
Perez’s husband died March 22, 2008 of AIDS and she’d asked Jarka to keep his disease a secret.
Isabelle Jarka was found dead inside the family’s Tamarisk Street on April 28, 2008 — a month after Perez’s husband died. Isabelle Jarka was bludgeoned to death, suffering 11 blows to the head with a blunt object.
Somehow I assumed that the death of the friend with AIDS happened right before Isabelles death, not a month prior.
And that was why Cespedes was there consoling her from midnight to 4am just hours before Isabelle was murdered.
I hope someone gets to the bottom of this part!!!!!! SOON
wonder how the dead friend got AIDS?
I'm wondering that too. And...why was Kelle always doing searches for "HIV with sex". It makes me think that he and the widow of the guy that died from AIDS was having an affair. It seems he wanted his money problems solved and out of the marriage and the same time. The article mentioned he was searching "how long to wait to get remarried after a spouse died" There's more we don't know......
Im still keeping up,
I am tempted to call the number for the guy at 20/20 listed at the one site.
