it has been recently proved ( as far as i'm concerned) that paradise the JW view of it isn't coming. Scriptual evidence is so thin as to be non exsistent. Ok so what about armargedon then? is that going to happen the way JW's say? will it happen at all?
and no i don't buy the arguement " bad things are happening therefore the end is nigh" cos look at history... bad things have allways happened!
I don't believe it will happen. Of course I don't believe the Bible to be reliable, and therefore I personally reject it as accurate in any prophecy.
The world will continue to face serious problems. Some disasters will strike. Perhaps cataclysm will strike at some point, but I don't believe it will have anything to do with God or judgement of mankind.

All cults try to scare their members into walking the straight and narrow by talking about a doomsday of one type or another. Hundreds of armageddons have been predicted, and hundreds have failed. If there is a divine, almighty being, in my opinion, he has either stopped looking or stopped caring about humankind. Guess what? We determine our own fate, for good or bad.
Even if you believe the bible, Armageddon is only spoken of in Revelation, and there the symbolic battle is between God and his enemies,so nothing to do with me and you, we ain't Gods enemies.
True,elsewhere Jesus and others talk of a final judgement, no date for that I'm afraid, but again,if you are not one of God's enemies ,nothing to worry about.
My prediction is the Big A and the Big J will take place in the year 7033.5 (ish) Let me know if I am wrong.

I had a hard time with the fear of Armageddon for a long time. Finally I realized that wasn't a damn thing I could do about it.

Sorry won't happened either, they are both imaginary aberrations expressed a long time ago.
Therefore they should be placed subjectively and rationally as simply stories in ancient mythology.
So too should the first Armageddon ( Noah's flood )
But mind you these stories do make for good commercial works in publishing litature and the owners of the
Watchtower Society have known that for many years now.
We could be hit by a ten mile wide comet or asteroid tomorrow and it still won't fullfil Bible prophecy. Bottom line we're living in a godless universe where things just happen and when they do people just try to spin meaning out of it. If we are to liberate ourselves we have to make our own Paradise and prevent our own "Armageddon".
