  There was a Magazine on this around '79 - '80.

  They quoted the verse God "will do nothing without telling his prophets first." Since jehoobie had not informed them of aliens, they must not have been created.

  They also use the argument that as we had radio from around 1900 why had none of them contacted us?

  (All this shows is that there is no scientifically advanced civilization within 160 light years or so capble fo contacting us.) Even if they responded to the early transmissions, the signal would not have reached us yet.

  Implicit in that statement is the assumption that they would even want communicate with us. What if they just don't want to talk to us? Would you blame them?

  @villabolo: I have Chariots of the Gods in my library queue. I wanted to read it for feces and giggles. I didn't know about Crash Go the Chariots. Now I'll have to read that one, too.

  @Balsam: LOL, thanks for sharing. That's the kind of crazy story I was counting on.

  So, it looks like in JW land, aliens = demons, but not as demonic as smurfs because there's no JW folklore about alien toys/stuffed animals walking out of the Kingdum Hell.

  I should create a new JW urban legend about aliens to see if I can get it to spread around... OK, how about:

  There was a JW that bought an Alienware brand computer. Every time they opened their web browser, the demons would make the browser load an apostate website. The JW tried to close the browser repeatedly, but it wouldn't close! The only way out of it was to call out to Jehovah while pressing control + alt + del and then ending the browser in task manager. True story! I heard it from a JW who's friends with another JW who's a 2nd cousin to a JW from another congregation who's friend had it happen to them!
