"Uneducated" does not necessarily mean "dumb". People of all classes, races, educational backgrounds, ages, and political affiliations are just plain MAD at their politicians right now, and it's showing in everything they say right now. Everybody is waking up.....The Great Awakening!

It doesn't matter if you're a PhD or a high school drop out. People are pissed at the government for their lack of oversight (SEC? anybody...) in all government programs, especially our "social justice" ones, constant party bickering, ineptness across the board, questionable affiliations, special interests, corrupt politicians, disingenuous media, lying, cheating, moral bankruptcy!

Unfortunately, this entire situation is instigated by the GOP because they are out of power. So the result will be we put them back in office, and all these problems.........

will only be worse. What's extra unfortunate, is that the current administration is actually trying to address some of these problems for the first time in over 30 years, and people are being brainwashed in to thinking the opposite.

My dad is using Medicare to fight his cancer and talks about how great it is at taking care of him. At the same time he watches FOX News and complains about the idea of a public option in health care.

    ~~ sigh~~

Here we go again! More partisan finger-pointing, more party-heavy accusations!! Whether you want to admit it or not, this current administration is working in the shadows, Beks. He lied when he said his administration would be transparent. He is anything but. He has appointed people with highly suspicious connections (not to mention character), some with criminal backgrounds, others with radical militant ideologies. He even tried to circumvent the FBI with some of his appointments. Community orgs that he has been affiliated with since his Chicago days are were up for over 1B dollars in tax payer money to oversee the 2010 Census. Thank goodness somebody exposed this racket of an org. Take a look at who has been getting special interest BIG BUCKS and you will see it has been BOTH party movers and shakers. Check out their personal financial disclosures and you will see BOTH parties have some 'splainin' to do. Look at the congressional committees over the past 16 years and connect the dots, woman! It just so happens that it is finally coming to a head with the American people and they want answers NOW before we go one step further dishing out our tax dollars (and those of generations to come) for the multitude of programs this president wants to implement. This is not about Dems or GOP anymore.

(I'm not even going to get into his Big Labor Union scratch-my-back-I'll-scratch-yours Game.)

Whether it's insurance companies or bloated politicians, or both of them putting it to the people (my suspicion), it's time to check it at the door and investigate the whole enchilada before it goes one step further!!

You make blanket statements about JO, without ever saying anything about specifics, or policy. You listen to too much right wing talk, and don't tell me you don't, because your posts are full of it. This administration is not working "in the shadows" any more than any other administration. Actually less. But you were not on this bandwagon, until your talking heads told you to be.

I have plenty of beefs with Democrats, House, Senate, and Administration. But they are very specific, and I am certainly able to see some things we could do that would help bring us back on track. Honestly, I'm very happy so far with the foreign policy of this administration. A tweak here and there, but in general I don't think we could have gotten a better man for that job in this day and age. We need single payer health care in this country, and the only reason we don't have it is because BIG MONEY is making sure it doesn't happen. I liked Van Jones, I think he would have been great in his job.

A couple of questions. I have not read the bill. Six of nine, I'll address you, since you made the accusation of lying. Are the quotes he gives not correct? I'll concede he may be strawmanning somewhat with what he claims the bill says and does, but he did use a lot of purported direct quotes.

I think his strongest point, however, is the undermining of his real concerns by calling opposers racists and other such names, and contrasting that with the talk of the Taliban. That's a hard one to refute.

Haven't we heard enough from uneducated Texans?

I know you're a smarter guy than to resort to logical fallacies. Why are you acting in such a way?

    Philip

And he's also voicing discontent with the way social security and medicare are run. Did you watch the videos?
