WTS "songs" resemble music as much as I resemble an eagle.

donuthole, really? I would like to see the proof of Rutherford did remove the songs, but Knorr brought them back. I am going to start a new topic about that one.

Well, I have to wait to post another topic because I already started 4 topics in the past 24 hours.

They should get rid of it altogether. These headache inducing, guilt-stimulating "songs" have no place in anyone's library. Not to mention, having the structure of the religion encouraging the hounders to "With all this beautiful new music around, why would anyone even want to listen to anything else?". Family heads are also incited to get rid of real music for their children with "all this beautiful music around".
And, I can easily see how it could be enforced. All it takes is for one hounder to make a rule that no one should listen to anything else under this argument, and anyone listening to any other kind of music would be hauled to the back room under "not giving the hounders double honor" and for "loose conduct" (in this case, defined as a brazen disregard for the hounders' authority). You can get disfellowshipped for this, if they so choose, while those in another congregation could merely be told to be careful with their selection of music or hounded by peer pressure. They could even use this to single out one person within a congregation, telling them "Why would you even want any other kind of music" and then disfellowshipping them (or cracking down even harder) for disobeying theocraptic order (loose conduct), while others in the same congregation are left to peer pressure.
I am in favor of destruction of all Kingdumb Maladies before it can get to this.
