    "Doctrinal changes:

Generation teaching changed to mean the current anointed class now living, regardless of age

1935 cut off date for selection of 144,000 extended indefinitely"

...have they actauly said this? if so i missed it but then i might have been fading at the time. I have asked JW's i know if there has been a "generation" change but they said no???

    can someone please clarify?

PS , farkle... sorry i don't belive for a moment that they will ever allow those terrible corrupting humans AKA "the dear sisters" to ever have a place in the cong;)

I suggested tithing on another thread, I do hope so, if you hit Dubs in the pocket they begin to question, the questionthey should ask is,

"Why can't the creator and owner of the whole universe manage his current account ?"

sub question "Is this God's Org ?"

Whatever, I am sure that the cash-flow problem will demand some strange actions to be taken.

Farkel is sooooo right on. "After decades of 1.4 billion hours a year of "preaching" from house-to-house, hardly anyone, even in countries where they are active knows what their message is about." JWs boast that they are the only group that is preaching the "good news of the kingdom". Ask the average person what the JW doctrine is concerning the kingdom and they don't have a clue.

I called the book study consolidation and family study night back in '02. My prediction going forward is a major change in FS arrangements. Some of the components of this change would be:

The congregation will be organized for such service in much the same way as FS now, with specific assignments handed out: hall cleaning and repair, visiting the sick, running errands on behalf of shut-ins, etc. Time spent performing these forms of service would be counted on the monthly reports just as FS hours are now. All forms of "sacred service" would be valued equally.

Those who have the "spirit of an evangelizer" would go out in FS instead. In time, the door-to-door canvassing would be limited to those of the evangelizing class (open to anyone who "quailifies").

There are precedents for all of this right now: elders and some pioneers often count FS time by combining their "ministry" with some of these other chores. Pioneers working at quick-builds are given credit for time spent on such projects. The hours for Aux. Pio's and Pio's have been adjusted down.

Whether this will happen in 2010 or not, who knows? But it'll come.

The only thing I wish for the jws/wts is that they all fall into a vortex and disappear in ever diminishing circles up their own arseholes.

oh they'll continue along their merry way. In SA they will have a lot more people to preach to when the Soccer world cup is on. An influx of tourists.
