God will not forgive your sins if you fast but I will.

Welcome to the board, naomi. JWs do not practice fasting. While I think that, done correctly, fasting can be good for the body and/or mind, I wonder why you feel that depriving yourself of nutrients will please God. If you've done something wrong, try to fix it. Otherwise, repentence is a state of mind, not of body.

naomi, I saw your post on an old thread but couldn't reply there. You say you used to be a Jehovah's Witness, but I'm skeptical because you don't seem to be very knowledgable about them. Did you study with them? If there are Christians of another sort in your area, I highly recommend you get in touch with them. You will have a far better experience.

Fasting is just another topic which shows JWs are not Christians or disciples of Jesus Matthew 9:14-16 Luke 5:34-36 Mark 2:19-21

1). IS FASTING COMPULSORY TO EVERY MEMBER OF THE JEHOVAS WITNESS MEMBER?
I think they like feeding the flesh too much to ever consider fasting.
2). CAN GOD FORGIVE ALL MY SINS IF I FAST?
No. Justification comes via His Son and salvation is a free gift under grace (unmerited favour).
