It was probably adultery/fornication, as already noted, but whatever it was, it'll probably leak in a few days.
I agree, the poor guy needs to get to a urologist, pronto.

If he has family, ask how his wife, kids, etc. are doing.

This has real merit - take the high ground, even if your husband has no idea what the high ground really is.
billy:
Did you ask if anyone else was disfellowshipped the same night? Perhaps a pioneer sister?
To avoid connecting dot A with dot B, even though everyone will figure it out, procedurally we were told at MTS not to make the announcements on the same night if the two offenders were involved in the same incident/with each other. Allow a week between announcements. An oft ignored rule. Difficult to do when a bunch of teens is involved in something...of course in that case, everyone already knows.
yep...give it time...and not much... wagging tongues, elder confidentiality be damned, word will get out.

Now that is just ludicrous. (as if nobody could put 2 + 2 together) - However, the post is right - this was given at least token notice.
Even if it were different congregations in the same city (even the same circuit) - it was out within days.
I have personally heard even elders on the committee gossip out the real deal - get this - "in the name of putting down useless speculation"!!!
when people we know get disfellowshipped within 2 weeks it spreads across 10 states
give it a few weeks. everyone will be talking about all the details then.
No doubt. Just ask any elders' wife!
But I gree with the above posters - take the high road. There are likely innocent vitims somewhere along the line that could use some help.
You know how JW's gossip, just give it a little bit and you will find out all the juicy details.
Sometimes I think we forget that the elders are loose lipped first and too. Many times wives learn all about it at home. So the gossipping starts with the men. I learned most of my "juicy" tidbits from the elders. And elders have no qualms sharing confidential information with elders in other congregations, especially relatives, thinking because they leave out the names that no one can put 2 and 2 together.
I second that Blondie.
