very true JB. Regardless of whatever any of us here beleive theologically (and we are all varied) we have the common goal of ueducating others of what the org really is. Lurkers can hear the truth about the org and observe the fallacious reasoning. Carry on.

even forgetting the homosexual scandal that Knorr condoned, what about the Blood and Organ ban that he promoted under his presidency? as Issac rightly pointed out, how would he explain that to JC ? AE

The reality is that the "Great Crowd" was a creation by Rutherford & Cronies to avoid this very issue - they were rapidly reaching the point where 144,000 would obviously be reached and the expected end had not yet come.

Another stark reality is that you really have to do some picking of ideas out of the posterior to ever get to this doctrine form anything in the scriptures - the only 144,000 references in Revelation of John are so sketchy at best that they could mean hardly something literal rather than symbolic, and certainly are tied with the idea of Martyrs rather than some special class of Christians.

Now that this has again become an embarrasment, the new way of sweeping under the rug is to obfuscate: No one knows who the "real" annointed are any more.
