Ts im glad to be here too, im learning much from you all, some is enlightening and some i disagree with but hey we all have our own opinions and its nice to share them. But yes this is Jw site....

Apparently they still feel their control is slipping. There have been monthly "obey us or die!" articles for the past several years.
Used to be, there were breaks of a few months between the "obey us or die" articles, and they had at least a touch of subtlety.

It is a discussion forum for anything related to the JWs. The WT definitely forbids that. JWs are not to discuss anything related to the org. WHo runs this site? Are they current witnesses or are they former JWs? DO those who run this site believe that the org is the channel of truth Jehovah os using today? Or are they 'aposates', acccording to the WT? Do those who moderate this site allow those who have daed or are dfed to post here? If so, coming to and using this site would be associating with those who have left the org- the WT is quite clear on associating with df individuals- espeically nonfamily members. Is the content about the org postive or negative? If negative, that would be apostate.

He says: "Bad associations spoil useful habits." (1 Corinthians 15:33) Sadly, many promising young Christians have had their good habits spoiled by unwise associations. Be determined, then, to shun such associations. If you do so, you will follow Paul’s counsel: "Quit being fashioned after this system of things, but be transformed by making your mind over, that you may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God."—Romans 12:2.

Having association via the Internet may not be consistent with the recommendation found at Ephesians 5:15-17. The apostle Paul wrote: "Keep strict watch that how you walk is not as unwise but as wise persons, buying out the opportune time for yourselves, because the days are wicked. On this account cease becoming unreasonable, but go on perceiving what the will of Jehovah is."12
The Christian congregation is the theocratic means through which we are fed spiritually by "the faithful and discreet slave." (Matt. 24:45-47) Within God’s organization, we find direction and protection to keep us separate from the world as well as motivation to keep busy in the work of the Lord. (1 Cor. 15:58) The psalmist indicated that he experienced joy and a feeling of security among God’s congregated people. (Ps. 27:4, 5; 55:14; 122:1) The congregation also provides spiritual support and assistance for those associated with it. Therein, you can find a group of loving, concerned, and caring friends—people you personally know who are ready and willing to help and comfort others in times of distress. (2 Cor. 7:5-7) Congregation members are protected by the Scriptural provision for disfellowshipping those who sin unrepentantly or who promote apostate thinking. (1 Cor. 5:9-13; Titus 3:10, 11) Can we expect to find these same loving arrangements when associating with others via the Internet? -

That sums it up witness007. Question your beliefs...if wrong, change. But once you come to the 'truth', that searching stops. That is how the GB twists Acts 17:11 as well, where Paul called the Bereans more nobleminded than the others because they searched the Scriptures to make sure what Paul was aying was accurate.

For more than 1982 the WTS has had this article either in the November or December issue of the WT. It is always time near the end of the tax year since some of these are done as investments through a non-profit corporation. In the US there are tax benefits. It is not a donation but an investment.

Can I get a scan? Just of this article. I'm going to flip a few words and show it to Mr. Witness to see his reaction. You know, change out "Jehovah's channel" for United States and stuff like that, show it to him, get his negative reaction to it, then put the Watchtower under his nose with the pertinent section highlighted.
