Obama Chia Pets--Racially Insensitive?

I don't consider the Obama Chia Pet to be racially insensitive but this is:

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! By now everyone has heard of that kind of racial slur. There is no excuse for that kind of ignorance. That dolly is cute. I'd take her after removing the head band. I had a couple of black dollies growing up, Baby Thataway and Baby Alive. I loved them but my dad couldn't understand why I chose a black dolly over a white one. I already had white dollies, been there done that, and thought the black ones were so cute.

1) I saw an ad on TV for a set of Chia presidents, it had Obama and three others I think TR, Lincoln and Washington. I don't know if its racist, but it sure is stupid.
2) I'm guessing that doll came from China. It wouldn't be the first time something went haywire in translation.
