Have any success with it? What helped you to be more in control of your dream world? Any interesting experiences?

Sounds wild. I take ambein 5mm to sleep and have realy cool dreams. Most of them I forget about.

One time I had a scary dream. I knew I was dreaming and was trying to wake up. That is when I took 10 mm of ambein.

    That is some scary stuff.

Also one night I drove to the hospital in my shorts. not wearing my glasses. No joke I stayed there untill I woke up.

Controlling dreams I have not been able to do sense my early teens, I don't know what happened.

I heard that marijuana stops dreaming. I have started dreaming again sense I quit smoking but have not controlled a dream yet.

I do remember telling myself before I went to sleep to confront the monster in my dreams before the monster went away.

May be that is the key to tell yourself what to dream before sleep. I will try that when I have something good to dream about.

Like a dream without JW's in it...

    Here something else on dreaming

The sleepwalker who mowed the lawn naked

In 2005, a sleep-walking computer expert was reportedly caught by his wife mowing the lawn naked at 2am. Rebekah Armstrong was woken by a noise coming from the garden. When she realized her husband Ian was not in bed she went downstairs to see what was happening.

Rebekah found Ian was mowing the lawn completely starker. She was afraid to wake him up because she had always been told it can be dangerous to disturb someone who is sleepwalking. She just unplugged the mower, went back to bed and let him get on with it. Ian, 34, later got back into bed and didn't believe Rebekah when she told him what he'd been up to.

I know personally of a death caused by sleepwalking while under the influence of Ambien. Be very very cautious when using this drug and never ever take it if you've been drinking alcohol. DANGEROUS!

Sorry, JimmyPage, for interjecting this into your thread about lucid dreaming, but felt I needed to share this.

Heck ya I've done that! It's awesome! Sometimes very hard to control when your in the dream though. I usually wake up quite easly during that stage of sleep. Wow didn't know they had a name for it.

Usually I tell everyone in my dream world I have a real world and powers in this world. Flying is my strongest power usually I show off and fly around.

Dude it sounds dumb in this world when I talk about it but man I'm amazing in my dream world. lol

I had a lucid dream a few weeks ago I related in recent thread. But I haven't intentionally tried to elict them, although it sounds like fun.

I get them once in a while, and when I do I like to practice my flying. I've never been able to foster the ability to have them on a regular basis, though I've tried.

I read that if you hook your nose up to a device which will give you a low-level shock when you go into REM you'll go lucid.

I think the key is baby-steps.

    1. See if you can remain lucid while you're awake.

    2. Then see if you can have a lucid day-dream.

Then after you've mastered the above, you can experiment with closing your eyes, dozing and the like.

    :)
