I agree with Slimboyfat's view of war. "No government, nation, or ideology is worth killing, or being killed for " Well put.
In the U.K the proceeds go to the British Legion,who care for old soldiers, making it easier for the government to send more to be killed and maimed, because the govt. doesn't have to pick up the tab for the guys already invalided.
There was talk in previous years of a white poppy for those opposed to war, are they still available ? I wonder what the Elders would make of a white one being worn ?
