I would love to sit in on a WT study- maybe I will volunteer my services as a " WT Bible study coach" on Craigslist - I could help answer those tough questions. Other religions also sell their dogmas and gloss over any problem areas- let the Holy spirit answer that later, they told me. I had a Baptist lady call me last night and invite me to church and when I asked her a tough question about Jesus, she refused to enter into a dialogue and hung on me.
I have finally figured ot how a lot of JWs gain more members besides having more kids...

No, I don't think they are on facebook...they were a bit older than I am, probably 10-15 years older than I am. Interesting that both groups of 'sisters' had only been JW's for less than 12-15 years. One of them brought back the 1963/8 or whatever it was, bound WT volume, so she could show me that it didn't say anything about 1975. But of course it does mention 1975.

Cognac,
You are so right about this!!! I had nearly forgotten. Yes, they DERAIL your questions in the very beginning with the brush-off that they 'will be answered or be clear at a later time" or words to that effect. Then, you are slowly 'seduced' in and then your original questions in some cases are forgotten or defused with a half-answer or some other such poppycock.
Just think of all the aggravation and wasted time we could have all saved ourselves if the religion was made to answer our questions right at the outset. They can't, of course, and naturally we would have all walked out the door.
