I just got an email from the dean. I didn't know him well, but we are listed as friends on facebook. It's really an odd feeling looking at his facebook page and reading all the comments from the people in shock, but what's really weird is seeing his last status update--20 hours ago. Facebook and myspace have changed the way people mourn. Everyone comes and talks to the dead person, as if they can hear them or read the comments. They guy's girlfriend wrote a message to everyone on there. Just reminds me of how temporary we all are.
Fellow student killed in car wreck last night.

Yeah, we are temporary. It seems particularly sad when a young person dies.

Handsome boy. A part of Justin's mother just died as well.

That's really sad....It seems to make it harder when they are young and haven't had a chance to experience life.
You're so right BizzyBee about his mother.....so so sad!

8 months from graduating law school. One of my first year classmates got a brain tumor and had to drop out--he had great grades. Kind of puts things in perspective.

Maybe they can.
Rest in peace and light, Justin.

I'm so sorry :(
I know the odd feeling. My school friends and I lost a friend from an overdose about a year and a half ago. He's still on our friendslists...it just seems wrong to delete him even though we know he's gone.
