Some shun me but others, usually the younger ones, still invite my husband and over. And my husband's never been a witness. They usually invite us to the next meeting, but we're always busy

I was never a dub in Ohio where I've lived for the past 20 years, so I don't know any of them here. But my mom and other jw relatives completely shun me.

Only shunned by our former closest friends. Others are polite, and we were even invited for coffee last week! Before that we haven't seen any of them for nearly 2 years. We're not DF or DA.

As an inactive fader I am shunned by my 2 adult JW daughters 22 and 21. One of my older sisters shuns me . Two other older siblings will talk and deal with me - mainly out of respect for my JW older parents in their 80's who really like my wife and me. But once dad and mom pass away- we shall see what happens. I have JW nieces and nephews who will talk with me and treat me fine.
When I see witnesses who knew me in the area I used to live in they act uncomfortable talking to me like they just smelled a skunk. I just say " Hello " and smile and tell them " have a good day ! " Especially this one grocery store clerk JW woman. I always check out in her line - just to force her to acknowledge me and talk to me. Aren't I a stinker ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

My mother told me, "If you don't get out of the Witnesses, I'm going to 'shun' you!
So, I was forced to leave!

I have found that those which were the closest to me are the ones who shun me.
Those that were friends but I didn't hang out with a lot - these are the ones who still talk and act as if nothing has changed.

I disassociated 8 years ago.... since then have been shunned, had no contact at all in that time, by my JW wife and two JW daughters.
To the point I was not invited to one of those daughters last June.

Ohhhh you betcha! These days, I'm pretty much known as "Shelby 'Beelzebub' Angui... well, you get my drift.
One former-harlot-turned-upright-JW passes by my house just to snub me!
Ahhhh, yes, the “reformed” whore. I know a couple of those (and knew them "when" - i.e., before they were "reformed"). They're my favorites (next to the "sister" whose head I held whilst she puked chemo poison into a bedside bucket… which I dumped and cleaned... who now looks at me as if I have puke on me...).
Of course, I still speak to them. But, oh, the gnashing of teeth when I do!! LOLOLOLOL!
Peace!
A slave of Christ,
