I trust everyone I've PMd and just about everyone else. I have a gut feel about certain people I *don't* trust.
Mouthy: Orange juice poured into coffee is the new hip beverage ------- You get your anti-oxidants from the coffee and your vitamin C from the orange juice all in one cup!

OH Good, guess I'm hip!!!! LOL I guess you used write for the WT?????
info like that I swallowed for 25 years They told me that was BREAD!!!!
I believed it all
Mouthy-------You're right. Now that I look at that sentence it does sound like something from the WT. But no -----never been a dub. Just a bible student...........think they call us "evil slaves" or something of that nature).
I've been on this site for a number of years now. I don't easily trust just anybody. Having said that, there are a few persons here that know my real identity and I'm comfortable with them.
Are there certain posters that you trust here?
I trust you to create threads asking questions...
Seriously though...
That is a hard question to answer. There are different levels of trust. I think the level of trust one gains on a message board is not the same kind of trust one would gain from someone you interact with on a more personal level.
I don't trust easily either, whether online or in real life, though there are some here who I've come to trust to some degree. Yet, I can count on one hand the people here who know who I really am. I'm not all that eager to share that kind of personal info with too many people for various reasons, some obvious of course. However, there are some that I would probably share that info with that I haven't already if the situation arose to where it was needed.
I think I mirror real life on this board as I am a hard person to get to know. I've always been an outsider and somewhat of a loner. Even though I've been here almost as long as you have minimus, I don't stand out as popular or particularly insightful or cleverly humorous. I just hope that my experiences help newbies and lurkers while at the same time I get support from all of ya'll who have been where I have.
May you all have peace!
One of my dearest friends... and a sister in Christ... gave me a plaque with the following calligraphed on it. She said the words describe how she tries to live... and how she believes I live (we have been very dear friends and "sisters" [in Christ] for close to 12 years now):
“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. BE KIND ANYWAY.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. BE HONEST ANYWAY.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. BE HAPPY ANYWAY.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. DO GOOD ANYWAY.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. GIVE YOUR BEST ANYWAY.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
IT NEVER WAS BETWEEN YOU AND THEM ANYWAY.”
- Mother Teresa
I don't think I ever received so beautiful a gift. I was greatly honored and deeply moved. Not as to the plaque... but realizing that she sees me in this way. She is a very honest and forthright woman who doesn't say what she doesn't mean/believe.
I would like to pass the 'wisdom' of these words on to those of you here who find doing good toward and/or trusting others difficult. Don't do it for "them." Do it for yourself. Because, truly, there is NO sweeter sleep... than to so do knowing you're not living for acceptance from men... but from yourself... or glory from men... but the glory that comes only from God through Christ.
Peace to you all!
A slave of Christ,
SA, who must say that she trusts her dear friend and brother, Farkel. Among many, many others here (and, hopefully, you all know who you are, but I simply cannot name all of you, I am SO sorry!), he has proven to me... literally... that he is an honest, trustworthy soul. A TRUE soft-candy center, with a hard outer candy shell. But ALL "sweet," truly. May JAH bless you all!
