What kind of church is it, Highdose? That would depend a lot on whether you run out screaming. For instance, I went to a baptist church where they started gay bashing in the first 10 minutes & I wanted to run like hell out of there! But Methodist churches & Unitarian Churches seem very cool & welcoming . While I will NEVER go Catholic, a couple friends of mine want me to visit their church & I probably will, although I feel a bit uncomfortable about it.
would there be any reason for you to attend another church?

I would never join another church in the sense of belief. I feel all organized religion contains some error.
I went the other day to the Cof E funeral service of an old friend of mine, I thoroughly enjoyed the two hymns, The Lord is My Shepherd and Morning has Broken, I sang out like I never used to at the K.H with their god-awful songs.
Rick the Vic laid on the bible bashing a bit thick, especially as the deceased and his family are not church-goers , but it was pleasant enough.
I would like to attend more places of worship ,of a variety of faiths, as an education, but if I am spotted by the Dubs my fade may go out of the window.
Go visit, highdose, if it is an Orthodox church you may find it a little too much to start with, but give it a go.

I've been to other churches and they were all a bunch of pretentious a$$holes like the ones in the watchtower. I've got all the reasons I need not to go.

I plan on attending a variety of churches just to see what they are all about. I am agnostic leaning toward atheism but feel curious as to what others church services are like. You know, are they quiet and boring, loud and happy, do they have a choir, etc. On Christmas, I am going to the local Unitarian church service.

Some of you may be interested in Steve Fuller's blog. He's been visiting a different 'church' every week - he's on week #45. While a single visit give a very limited view, it is interesting to hear how services are conducted - so you know if you'd freak out before it even starts. The site is:

Only 38,000 or so to go...and that's just Christian denominations...

Steven hasn't stuck to just Christian churches (thus the single quotes) - visited a Mosque, and others. He's limiting himself to doing this for only one year, so only 7 to go.
