  Well let's see. You dress like you just got off the Mayflower, your aren't allowed to listen to music or go to movies, and possibly even read a book that isn't assigned in class or isn't about your goofy religion. So you don't have any background to talk about something that might interest a normal teenager. But that's OK, becuase you don't go to the school dances, sporting events, or participate in things like the chess club, the school play or anything else where you might have actual interaction with one of your peers. It may be they don't know you, not that they don't like you.

  If I wanted to design a program to produce screwed up kids, I think it would look like a kingdom hall.

  Come to think of it, I had NO PROBLEM getting boys to like me, once I dumped all the JW BS and put on my belly-dancing costumes... Zid

  Its funny, I can remember having 3 studies with gorgeous girls, plus a sister of someone attending.

  We were all legs, eyelashes, and hair. We used to take up an entire row about 3 back from the front during the WT study on Sundays.

  It had to be terribly distracting for the speaker. We did not dress as expected, ie: the leg factor, nor did we answer WT questions. But we looked like a million.

  The girls that looked like they came out of a compound were distressed. Everyone eventually moved on.

  I have a good candidate for an answer: Because most people (of either sex) are not attracted to people simply because they are pio-sneers, they are hounders, because they are bound for Beth Hell or already there, or because they come from families where the husband is the lead hounder and the wife is a special pio-sneer. People that are like that are boring because all their time is wasted on the misery, while people that are more like normal people are labelled "bad associations".

  This does not make sence to me at all. Why does the Awake care if GIRLS are liked by BOYS? This is not a question regarding adults. A girl should not be concerned if boys like her. Not until she is "past the bloom of youth". Don't even THINK about dating until you are in a situation where marriage is a definite possibility. Certainly if you are in school, you would not be ready to get married. Everyone knows that "liking" leads to dating which in turn leads to marriage. As a young person, you should be focused on more important things like developing a strong relationship with Jehovah ("do not forsake the Creator in the days of your young manhood [or womanhood]") and doing things for old people in the congregation. Of course by following this advice you will become more attractive to all people that you encounter. In fact, worldly people may be so impressed by you that they will become JW's themselves! - There, I should have written this article for them.

  If not writing the article that I just wrote, all they can do is state the obvious and give horrible advice

  - Try not to stink

  - When talking to boys, try not to be a smart-ass

  - Make sure that the boy appears to be smarter than you (this is called "being respectful")

  - Fix yourself up but make sure not to look too skanky. A boy's friends may make fun of him if they think his girlfriend is a ho.

  As the Witchtower said "women are OUR sisters mothers and daughters."

  Females in this Borg are not individuals, but defined by their relationship to a MALE.

  If a Woman is on her own she is NOBODY.

  She should find happiness in hawking the Witchtower and canvassing for contributions, perhaps baking the odd pie or pudding for elderly sisters and obviously sexually NON functional old males.

  Boys maybe dont like you because you are a FRUMP.

  Because you are NON sexy. Because JW females think that they can only get to know a boy with a view to marriage. Not exactly on a teenage boys mind...

  Teenage boys do NOT crave respect from females.

  They just want to get their hands inside their bras, and go all the way.

  In WT culture the female role is not exalted ( the males would have snatched it by now if it were so) so this is another attempt to make the girls cry from low self esteem and do more more more.

  When I was a teenage boy, I never cared about her body...I was far more interested in who she was!
