Yet another reason I kept my copy where the Ex wouldn't see it. When she took "vacations" at assemblies and conventions, I kept Darwin on the night stand for bedtime reading. When she was due back, the book went back to the bottom of the box of College texts. It worked, I still have it! Now that her name is "Ex", Darwin can stay in the bookshelf where it belongs.

I say, "Sheesh, the things that were written in that book, 150 years ago are still true and being taught today. If you take any Watchtower from that time, 150 years ago, nothing in it is true anymore- it has all been changed."

regarding Origin of the Species- I guess tomorrow is the day to celebrate 150 years of the book- I am "attending" some Facebook event called "Celebrate 150 Years of Origin"... the description is "Celebrate the book that gets the fundies hot under the collar. Read the book in a park, on the university knoll, or where ever. Make it fun but legal please."
