Low-Key Lysmith
Steve Earl recently put out a tribute album to his friend and mentor, Townes Van Sant. The album entiltled "Townes". Every song on the album is awesome, and i actually prefer them to the Van Sant originals.

watson - I have always liked the Green Day version of WCH, too.
fsp -- I didn't think anyone else remembered Lulu! One of the first songs I learned to sing was her remake of Shout! (older bro had the album).

I'm not that old, born 1959 so I had to listen to all my brother's music during the 60s & early 70s, however I did enjoy it, but I would never let them know that tho LOL

I don't typically like remakes of Beatle or post Beatle tunes, but those two are goodies (Fiona and Green Day). I'm a fan of Cocker's "Help From My Friends" too.
