What strikes me is that the witlesses proclaim to be very positive, yet they have nothing good to say about the world outside the Kingdumb Hell. They can't wait to see it gone--their positivity is limited to some fantasy new world that they will never see the other side of.

True, there is a lot in the world that is bad--and Osama Obama is one person that is leading us into an even worse world. And the Washtowel Slaveholdery is also causing many problems. However, the witlesses create more tribulation--be careful about Christmas songs, all the rules to prevent fornication, no college, and so on. They invent demon possession stories to prevent people from enjoying anything. Everything is looked at in its worst light--except the Kingdumb Hell and what lies on the other side of the uncrossable line (called Armageddon). Much worry about missing boasting sessions or not doing enough field circus, too.

The pompous holier than though attitude is what just kills me. They judge others for judging and then they also judge. Superior to most mankind. It just disgusted me that they actually believe that they have the market cornered on morals

You think. They cannot find a good thought to say about anything. The last time I went out in service the "sister" I was working with at every door it was all doom and gloom. The people who answered the door were happy and smiling and she just went on and on about how horrible everything is in the world. If the householder tried to say anything to the contrary or positive she stopped them and pointed out something worse going on somewhere in the world. No wonder so many JW's are on AD's.

It really opened my eyes to what a bunch of nut cases JW's are. We look like idiots to the world and rightly so.

I remember the last convention we went to; the brother at the podium was like "Jehovah's people are the happiest in the world", I looked at my hubby like WTF?? Is he craaazzzy! More than half our congregation was on depression meds.

Anyway they have to keep perpetuating the Us against the World attitude, and they make themselves seem like victims. If they are not happy then its because of the world, not because of the fact that they are total slaves for the WT society and are isolated from nieghbors and family, yeah right.

I don't think people really notice the negativety until the WT spell is broken. Peace Lilly

Its the Tinker Bell syndrome, if they stop wishing and praying for the End it may not happen........The End, now there's a happy thought

I told my JW the same thing. We were at my class reunion and I was talking to a friend about the last time we'd seen each other, which was at her father's funeral, so she said that she'd lost my phone number and that she'd been depressed for awhile after her father's death (naturally so), and hubby jumped right in and kept talking about depression & death. Geez.
