Wow, with all these new publishers, I'll bet the donations are just a tidal wave flowing into the Watchtower Society, right?

WRONG!

This illustrates why the Society is de-emphasizing statistical growth - because they have a "worthless growth" crisis. More and more weak people who burden a shrinking pool of elders, while closing their wallets. More books and magazines no one will pay for. Fewer Bethelites, as layoffs continue , to take care of a growing organization. More Assembly Halls sold. More Branch Offices downsized. Fewer meetings at the Kingdom Hall.

If these are the effects of healthy growth, then I'm all for the expansion of the Organization!

Follow the money. I trust its trends above and beyond the willingness of Witnesses to lie on monthly slips of paper, in reporting activity that lacks independent confirmation.

4.4% increase for the US? That's huge! Yet arn't we seeing stagnation and even decrease in all the Eng congs? And while the Spanish might still be growing fast, they would have to be torrential to compensate in such a large way...I don't get it.

Increase in the number of publishers? Have they revised the publishers' reporting instructions again?

The U.S. numbers are cooked. According to the KM over 40,000 new publishers appeared in August.
