Some time back when I was an elder and expressed my concerns about the blood doctrine to another elder (in confidence) the news got back to the whole body of elders and the CO who I will just call (bro. smith)

After speaking to me for some time and determining that I did not believe in the WT blood doctrine. I was removed and told by the CO, "You are a very spiritually ill man, and you need to gain back your faith." It was a strange thing to hear this from a much younger man with less years as an elder then me. It became even more strange when I thought to myself, I don't feel sick at all.

And I feel fine. (do do do do do do do do) (do do do do do do do do)

Should I have taken his advice? Which really was, start believing the way the society does or your dead. Am I dead?

    Great story.

If you don't parrot the party line, you're "sick".

Cults shoot their wounded. They motivate via fear and guilt.

    Hi ldrnon

You were 'sick' to that CO (and the org) because you THOUGHT....you used your own reasoning and QUESTIONED things....you had the balls to disagree with the org!! How sad that for thinking/reasoning human beings that God created - we are taught that the very God we worship WANTS us to be ignorant and follow without question.

Then again, I was abused by my ex-fiance (a JW) and when I told the C.O. I was angry and upset about what he did, I was told that i was 'spiritually weak' and that I needed to humble myself and strengthen my relationship with Jehovah. So in all cases, there is never a clear an concise answer - everything falls back on YOU and your relationship with God.

There's your so-called shepherding...YOU NEED TO this; YOU NEED TO that; blah blah blah - heard it all before. All they do is pontificate; nothing more.

It's amazing how that lack of 'natural affection' (2 Tim) you experience at the hands of the elders and CO rips the blinders off as to the real nature of this organization. They did us all a favour everytime they bring out that tired old line 'You need to'...

Oh, and one other thing. There is NO SUCH THING as 'in confidence' within the WTBTS...no matter what they say...it's one big rumour mill from top to bottom.

Nah, ldrnomo, you're doing just fine. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I always say!

Yes according to the WTBS if you use your thinking abilities at all, you are a very ill person. The 'spiritually sick' label is slapped on you and from then on you are contagous and treated as such.

I say thank goodness you got 'sick' of those arrogant supremacist and went looking for a cure = freedom the think

Hello to you and Mrs LD from Eastern Wa.

It amazes me that CO's, some who are very intelligent, don't see through the BS. That MUST have doubt's since they see all crap in the congregations. But then they give such crass council. I have heard CO's say to Elders, "this must be adressed I can this congregation does not have the spirit operating on it" and then not give any guidance on how to address the problem. What help is that? What is the purpose of their visit if they don't provide direction? The truth is they don't think, they just follow the policy files, which is what the GB do. Lets face it the policy files are never going to help, because they are their to cover the arses of the WTS leaders. (Sorry ranting again - i'll stop now).

Your just mostly spiritually dead, but not completely spiritually dead. What you obviously need for a full recovery is a spiritual blood transfusion. I'm sure that young, healthy CO would have gladly opened a spiritual vein in order to provide you with the live-saving true blood for you to drink for your spiritual revival.

But if it's any consolation, Jehovah doesn't believe in the WT blood doctrine either.
