Another Sunday Afternoon

I'm sitting here in a comfy chair surfing the net, dog at my feet. The kids playing upstairs and the Mrs doing some craftwork. The sun is shining outside and life couldn't be more relaxed.

If I wasn't here what would I be doing? Sitting in uncomfortable chairs, dozing off because of boredom, feeling scrutinzed by the over zealous because my kids are breathing too loudly. I would be feeling cold and miserable because it is the middle of winter and I had to go out.

    Fading is great!!!!!

I'm enjoying my 3rd cup of coffee, sitting in front of the fire while watching an old movie from 1946. 'Anna and the King of Siam" with Irene Dunn and Rex Harrison

Sure beats the 'on the go' coffee and toothpaste JW breakfast, as we would run off to the KH, no?

I would rather enjoy the Christmas lights and music than waste two or three hours in the Kingdumb Hell listening to some crap that I have heard a billion times before. Not to mention, the Kingdumb Hell is dryer than a desert, very sterile looking, and is probably broiling hot because someone doesn't know how to modulate the heat.

I have had a lovely relaxing sunday. Took the dogs for a walk, came back and had coffee and cake, listened to music and prepared the dinner. A few months ago it would have been rush to walk the dogs, go to boring meeting and sit there trying not to sleep or laugh too loud or perhaps get too mad at the stupid talk, wt and comments. Then when I got home it would be a rush to prepare dinner and before I knew it time to go to bed and back to work on Monday. Now I have me time, so here's to Sunday.

Sleeping in late mornings on Sunday. Waking to a french toast and coffee breakfast with my wife. Taking the puppy out for a fun time. Taking my wife out for a fun time ,shopping. Yes! Shopping with my wife is so much better than going door to door with her. Reading some topics from the good friends here, never boring to read from the friends. Sundays, sweet Sundays, we missed this for 33 years!

Got up and made breakfast for the wife.. Cleaned up and watched her get ready for another "meeting". Sitting here at home contemplating all the studying I have to do for finals which start tomorrow and another class in Ethics I'm starting next week. Thinking seriously of applying for law school after I finish my bachelor's degree and was looking at information on schools in the local area.

I remember the joy I felt when I knew I would never go to another boring Watchtower meeting. Saturdays and Sundays became the easiest days of the week instead of the hardest.

    Yeah, good luck OutforGood3.

We spent today putting up the christmas decorations, they look lovely! The lounge smells of pine from the tree and the twinkly lights look magical now its getting dark outside.

Usually hubby and I head for the nearest coffee shop for a latte and a catchup chat, the rest of the week is so busy that its good to have some chillout time together. And to think I used to dread Sundays, getting us and the kids all togged up and bums on seats for 10am was nothing but stress

"Have you got your answer ready?" "where's your shoes?" "No you can't bring your ipod" "put your tie on straight", "where's my bloody songbook?" nag nag nag......

Nope, don't miss all that stress at all.
