They don't make JWs the way they used to back in my day. The hard-driven old-timer JWs of the 50s and 60s slogged door-to-door for hours on end, took a brief lunch break then got stuck back into the "work" again. Even that was nothing compared to the self-sacrifices JWs made in the 1930s and 40s during my grandparents era. Today's JWs are sadly and spectacularly on the wimpy side and far, far too eager to take looooooonnng breaks. But who can blame them: It's pretty unrewarding when year after year the world slips further and further away from ending.....

That is the only source of fun the witlesses have left. Now that the book study (and the Goodie Nights attached to it) is gone, witlesses have only those doughnut breaks to look forward to. I wonder what will happen should the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger decide that these are wasting time that should be used to get others into the cancer.

I am so unapologetically resentful: I spent years door-knocking from when I was a pre-schooler (with my mother) and no one had the good sense to take time out to go to a cafe. We all slogged away for hours on end. Grrrrrr

i am sure i had it before!i used to work with a reg pioneer
and an aux pioneer and the three
of us had lots of laughs...if someone had a "good call" and got
to pontificate about the party line, then
goofy grins abounded.....mebbe these poor sucks had a good call
and the "joy" was leaking out of their brains
