Yes, I want to hear ingredients for good chili recipe.

Or are you just guessing and throwing stuff in?

The secret to good chili, no matter what recipe you use, is..........

    2 tbsp of cocoa powder.

Seriously, it's good. I make "Chocolate Chili" all the time.

I hear you Palm. I put mollases in my chili, awesome with the bacon sauteed in onions and garlic. Really adds depth and a bit of sweetness.

I just throw stuff in. Basically, I use whatever kind of chilli packets are on sale. In this case, it was McCormick chilli seasoning. I use a small can of tomato sauce, and a big can of Rotel tomatoes and green chillies. Rotel makes good stuff. Pinto beans and hamburger and that's it. I always like to eat it with corn chips and cheddar cheese as well.

It's kind of hard to mess up chilli.

Remind me of one time I ate ham and beens for months to save and build a hot rod vega, and when me and some friends were dropping the motor and tranny in, I was underneath and farted. The gas went thru the gear shift hole and my friend in the car got a wiff he will never forget.

Oh ya, put sugar in chilli!

love making gringo chili. I use turkey, kidney beans and some special spices from south of the border. Often a little rioja makes it kick. The aftermath is my contribution to global warming

Well, after launching into a "mission to find the best chili recipe," I've now committed to doing a real Texas chili, instead of this Yankee stuff I have been making with all sorts of beans n vegetables. So next time I'm going to just use the following:

    Ground chuck

    Brisket

    Onions

    Homemade BBQ sauce

    Garlic

    Chilli powder

    Cayenne powder

    Paprika

    Cumin

    Brown sugar

    Salt

    Beer

Still eating on that pot of chili. Almost gone, thinking about throwing the rest out. I'm averaging a bowl a day.

I always add a small can of Adobo sauce with peppers. The only problem is you have to take out some of the peppers or you'll die...literally. At least your ass will.
