why did I not heed the warning? I knew the hard drive was on its way out.....let this be a warning

I have just about finished writing my story for posting here and over at Freeminds. It is kind of long.
I posted this comment about 2 months ago on another thread...and...you guessed it...it was saved to my Desktop... no printed copy or backup...
...so I lost it and I have to start over......probably take me another 2 months to retype it...lol...

nah...safe and sound here in my desk..just can't get anything off of it.....lol...
will have to try the freezer or dry ice trick.... when I can find time..
