You brought those other religions up as a comparison to the JWS, a tactic used quite often by JW apologists, making the proposition well we are more of a purer form of Christian worship than those others.

Last December I visited my mom in Mexico. I decided to accompany her to mass. At first I didn't recognize the preacher, but turned out to be the same preacher of the town where I grew up. He is still quite famous for his past activism in favor of the poor, getting better prices for the farmers' crops, and anything to do with helping the weak and the needy. In fact, streets are named after him. How dare the pope allows free range to priests to do great charitable works.

Also, the same day my mom told me about mother Herlinda, an ex-nun who had been running an orphanage for almost forty years. Her accomplishments: 2,000 orphans have been helped, many actually graduating from universities. How dare the Pope allows nuns to leave the convent to start great charitable works, even help children get higher education.

Shame, shame, shame on the Catholics. Instead of helping the weak and the needy, they should be working on getting new converts to contribute more money to the Vatican, just like JW's contribute to their masters in N.Y.

FayeDunaway: Don’t misinterpret the understanding, I can tell the GB, elders, preachers, fathers, etc. about religious questions to get answers. No one can take free will away from me, as Jesus did with his Apostles. Then your confusing Questioning doctrine verses changing doctrine. Go tell the Pope that you wish for them to change their century old doctrines, see what happens.
Raymond Franz wanted to change the WT doctrine to befit him, not the members, and when he got kicked out for that, then he wrote a book explaining how evil that organization was, but didn’t bother to write down the reason why. However just like here, people pretend to have a valid reason to hate, they really don’t, and to obscure it, they don’t mention the reason behind that hatred, they just assume to have people follow along with their measure of personal vengeance.

It talks about putting faith in good news that is preached and faith without works as you know is dead. So it would seem to me that having such little time left and faith being the assured expectation of the things hoped for, I think. It would mean to me that the good news could be called into disrepute if it was not true regarding something we preach,So I was confident the end would come within the generation as the Watchtower stated and I don't need higher or further education

Speaking of Catholicism, I'm loving this new pope. If I had just been deciding what direction to go, I would have given Catholicism more thought if he was already at the helm. I would still have trouble with Mary worship and saints, but as a whole I think Catholicism is pretty attractive these days......FayeDunaway

Wid, my 'valid reason for hate' is that I read the book of john, and saw witnesses have a messed up interpretation of God and salvation. For this, I have lost my family, because I had to leave their religion, and their religion doesn't allow me to change my religion and still associate with them. But I guess I'm just 'pretending' to have a valid reason.
