Do we receive our teachings from any Man?
Men extrapolate power from the gods to create power for themselves in a effort to control others and to uplift their personal stature
within their own culture. T hrough his direct interest into why things occurred in the world and of himself, he sought to connect to this great
spiritual power for this reason. That is why there were so many different cultures and different gods in mankind's history.
Actually, making belief or non-belief the law of the land is too
controlling. That and getting too 'centric about either one, or other
classifications of race, nationality, etc., is what gets people divided
or killed over something they shouldn't be hurt over, not the believers
or non- believers, etc. who didn't take part that way and shouldn't be
characterized that way.
Separation of church and state to me is like subjective freedom to
have whatever emotional reaction to music. We'll always have the
different belief and non-belief choices like different favorites in
music--we'll never have everybody the same. The harmony can best come
from relaxing about the differences. Believers don't have to stop
believing in God for that any more than we have to have everybody the
same in any of the other classifications.
The 1st post sounds like a quote from the Watch Tower which is
supposed to make all other religious teachers out to be elitist
and not as true to what Jesus wanted, as not subduing selfishness for
the sake of united brotherhood in Jesus compared to themselves.
Without quoting web sites worth of evidence, The editorial meant to
accompany that should say that it's ironic of them.
