Fave: Penny Lane, like Leolaia. But my seconds would be Strawberry Fields Forever and Tomorrow Never Knows.
What was your favorite Beatles song that you remember ?

Helter Skelter - I love the energy of the song. While my Guitar gently weeps is a beautiful song that reminds me of what a great loss Georgw Harrison was. I also love Glass Onion - always reminds of a school field trip to Bath where I go got drunk for rhe fisrt time.
The Beatles were truly the such an influence in my Teenage years although I was 20 years too late to see them.

I was born after the breakup, but they were my first love. I got my first Beatles album at 5 years old.
It was Magical Mystery Tour.....I still remember the day I got it :o)
We had a bunch of threads about the remastered CD's that just came out - they are like manna from heaven!
Like everyone said, there are too many songs to choose from and narrow down, but my favorites are in line with everyone else.
If I had to pick a few.....
1) Tomorrow Never Knows - still BLOWS ME AWAY.......what a work of genius by the band, particularly John of course. I think it came at the height of their powers, experimentation, and John in all his LSD-induced glory.
2) Golden Slumbers Medley - like it was mentioned, the B side of Abbey Road is awesome, but "The End" was a perfect closer for the band.....simply perfect songs.
3) Hey Jude - I think its one of the greatest pop songs ever - the Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na, Hey Jude chorus is unforgettable.
4) Strawberry Fields Forever - another mind-blower.....beautiful and gentle, haunting and surreal, with the siren thrown in for good measure!
5) Here Comes the Sun - Gotta have a George classic on the list!
6/6A) In My Life / Norwiegian Wood - I cant leave those two off!
In My Life is so touching and beautiful in its simplicity, yet intricate at the same time.
Norwiegian Wood - the first time I heard the Sitar was on this tune.....again pure brilliance.

Can anyone relate to 'Eleanor Rigby' when first leaving the WTS?

But my favorite is 'I want to hold your hand'. Seriously loved this song as a kid who had a girlfriend and wanted to hold her hand. Even singing it to her at school.
And........she let me hold her hand. Got in trouble for holding her hand but was well worth the discipline that followed.
