LOL
Why would the title the talk was given under by one speaker on only one occaision be more preferable than the title the exact same talk was given under thousands of times by hundreds of speakers and reprinted in magazine and book form? Hmmmm?
Could it be because the "Millions Campaign" and the "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" title and slogan were direct references to the belief that the "Golden Age" (What modern JW's refer to as the "New Order") would commence in 1925, which in JW history is probably the grand daddy of all failed predictions?
I also noticed on page 16, the article goes on to say:
"..in 1922 urged listeners to 'advertise the King and his kingdom.' This appeal helped the remnant of the bride class to reach more people with the invitation."
In context, this isn't a lie, but it's very misleading to modern JW's. This is what listeners in 1922 were actually told:
"For six thousand years God has been preparing for this kingdom. For nineteen hundred years he has been gathering out the kingdom class from amongst men. Since 1874 the King of glory has been present; and during that time he has conducted a harvest and has gathered unto himself the temple class. Since 1914 the King of glory has taken his power and reigns. He has cleansed the lips of the temple class and sends them forth with the message of all messages. It is the message of the hour. It is incumbent upon those who are the Lord's to declare it. The kingdom of heaven is at hand; the King reigns; Satan's empire is falling; millions now living will never die.
Do you believe it? Do you believe that the King of glory is present, and has been since 1874? Do you believe that during that time he has conducted his harvest work? Do you believe that he has had during that time a faithful and wise servant through whom he directed his work and the feeding of the household of faith? Do you believe that the Lord is not in his temple, judging the nations of earth? Do you believe that the King of glory has begun his reign?
Then back to the field, O ye sons of the most high God! Gird on your armor! Be sober, be vigilant, be active, be brave. Be faithful and true witnesses for the Lord. God forward in the fight until every vestige of Babylon lies desolate. Herald the message far and wide. The world must know that Jehovah is God and that Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. This is the day of all days. Behold, the King reigns! You are his publicity agents. Therefore advertise, advertise, advertise, the King and his kingdom. " (The Watchtower November 1, 1922 --reprint of Cedar Point discourse)
The message that was advertised included the following things that JW's no longer believe:
1. That Christ returned in 1874.
2. That six thousand years of Bible chronology expired in 1873-1874
3. That a forty year harvest ensued between 1874 and 1914
4. That during this harvest the Lord had A Faithul and wise servant" (C.T. Russell)
5. That the millenium began in 1914.
6. That the "Golden Age" would arrive in 1925
7. That millions living in 1922 would never die.
The JW faith is very different today, and to attempt to imply a continuity between that message and what JW's teach today is misleading and dishonest.

As many have noted, it didn't take Rutherford long to change the "may" to "will." If anyone tries to argue that the WTS only used "may," then feel free to direct them to the (in)famous "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" brochure which is now available on Google Books (not an "apostate" site). See http://books.google.com/books?id=V0gMAAAAYAAJ.

What part of the end-time message taught in 1918-1922 do you believe to be true today?

No, the history of the 20th century proves that the statements were NOT the truth, and that the WT society has had to change the words "Will.." to the words "May...".
This is an admission that the "Will...never die" premise was false. Basic history also shows that it was false.
