Ian was one of the first to give me support, when I came on here.
I met him at the "Aposta-curry" in Manchester.
A very caring man.
May he be long remembered on this forum.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Ian but sure enjoyed his common sense and perceptive posts

Ian was an amazing man, always so well grounded, loving and wise. He left a legacy with his family, with his friends, and with those of us here on JWD/N. RIP

I feel strange posting on this thread since I joined here too late to enjoy his posts over the years, but I've spent most of the day reading past threads and I'm saddened that such a good and wise person is no longer with us. My heartfelt sympathies to Ian's family and to all of you on the board who developed such a close bond with him.
May he rest in peace.
