"Obeying The Slave"----Only In Watchtower Land Could A "Slave" Have More Prominence

  Think about what slaves do. They work for the master and they humbly work hard and if they don't they'll get punished. A slave is lower in rank than any others. Slaves do not enjoy prominence. They do not have special insight or knowledge. They are simply lowly slaves.

  But in Watchtower World, a simple illustration of faithfulness vs. unfaithfulness becomes the cornerstone of their doctrine. Originally, the followers of C.T. Russell whispered he was that Slave or Faithful Steward. Eventually, Bible Students viewed Russell as "The Wise Servant" until J.F. Rutherford decided otherwise, years later. The consecrated bride of Christ was that Slave but in reality he formulated the Society as the Slave that gave food at the proper time. Then it morphed into The Governing Body but technically it has been all anointed ones on earth at any given time. Baloney! The GB make all the decisions and the result is the mythical "Slave Class".

  Everyone is supposed to "trust" the Slave. "The Slave (Mother) knows best". "Obey The Slave".

  For God's sakes, it's a "slave" not an owner. Only in Watchtower Land!

  The advantages of self marketing are a paramount importance to the WTS. as they present themselves to the public.

  Fortunate for them there are no scripted guidelines on a religion on how or should they present themselves to the public.

  The WTS has a surmountable amount of self supporting hearsay to identify themselves as just lowly messengers

  of the written word, who go by what is only written. Its really a game of words that supports an illusion that what gets

  written and spoken by them is truly and purely a message from god and his holy spirit.

  It has worked for them well in the past, devious yes but certainly a good marketing strategy for the company/corporation.

  If you ask the average JW to identify the "Slave", they usually give a wrong definition. All they know is they need to follow the dictates of that "Slave". So dumb.

  The WT promotes this ideal and thus subsequently JW thinking becomes black and white in most things. Good and bad. Faithful and unfaithful. Loyal and unloyal. Jehovah and Satan. No gray, no in-between, no other possibilities. You're either with us or against us.

  Yes, JW's brains are programmed for black or white thinking. In this case though, the "Slave" doctrine is a bit muddled.

  In WT-land the slave is the slave of God but this slave is our master substituting and supplanting the Christ.

  Funny, but rather than being a lowly 'slave', the WTS more closely resembles the position of 'overseer' that managed the black slaves in the Old South. I found a rather interesting definition of this position that I think we can all relate to:

  "...Historians have found that brutality was associated with professional overseers because they were caught in a very awkward position within the plantation’s hierarchy. They did not have the prestige or the wealth to be plantation owners themselves, and slaves recognized their lack of respectability within the white world and often attempted to use it against the overseer. Therefore, professional overseers understood that the only way they would get and maintain respectability was through the use of force, oftentimes through excessive use of force. As a result, slaves respected their masters, but despised the overseer.   I find this description quite accurate when compared to the Governing Body members' position in life. In comparison with either the world or even Jesus himself, they are nothing. Despite their belief that they are going to heaven to rule over the entire planet, these guys have absolutely no say in anyone's salvation. They have lost an enormous amount of respect from ex-Witnesses who have discovered that they're nothing but a bunch of senile idiots who can't seem to get anything right. They also incur the disgust of the rest of the world for protecting pedophiles, splitting up families with their disfellowshipping policies and forcing members to let family members die rather than accept a blood transfusion. Therefore, the only way they think they can get any respect, is through sheer force of their message: Obey us or pay the consequences.

  With their secretiveness and information control policies, I've often compared the WT with the Old South plantation system.

  Once you were locked into it, escape was almost an impossibility.
