par 3 remarked on the "tendency of imperfect humans to form friendships based on what is received not given." Is that not exactly what they are doing in this article ? If we do not wish to follow Jesus solely and completely through the WTS , they are not going to be friends of ours, and they make that very plain
Talking of "Things given" par 17 has the most blatant appeal for MONEY that I have ever seen in a study mag..references to "financially supporting the Preaching Work" "Using our material assets to further kingdom interests" "Donate Money toward construction......"
Is that not something that CTR declared that the WT would never do??
Still, is is comforting to read in par 19 that in contrast to the world " Within the congregation we can find those who will stick closer to us than a literal brother !"

BB - I agree that par 17 had the most blatant appeal for money in a regular study. A whole paragraph devoted to giving materially toward the WWW? I know they always have that Nov article about ways to give to the WTS but that is never studied.
Cash flow must really be getting tight. I honestly wonder how long before they institute tithing?
