So I have been looking for a CD for Honey Bunny, and no one in town has it. We don't have a music store, and I didn't feel like driving too far. So I stopped in at Wal-Mart. Whadaya know, there it is, one copy of what I wanted. Then I remembered something about them censoring their music, and asked the clerk. Yep he says they edit all the bad stuff out. Not even a notation to tell me whether this is one that "needed" editing. How can they do that? I mean at the very least they should put some kind of disclaimer on there, so you know what you are getting. Why does Wal-Mart care if I want to listen to 50 cent droppin' the F bomb?

I love the way Green Day gave Walmart a big FU. They refused to edit, Walmart refused to sell their lastest cd. It still went to #1 on the charts.

I'm guessing that their bean counters demonstrated that this actually increases overall sales. (Not necessarily music sales, but the 'family friendly' image, etc, may have been a winner during their market research.)
Nobody can legitimately accuse Wal-Mart of not knowing how to turn a profit.

Not true Dinah. Her gig was the warning label. Which I'm sure has increased sales. These guys don't do warning labels, cuz they have edited out anything that would warrant one!
And yes boys I would never buy music there, but I had run out of ideas for places to find it! What's really irritating, is this is probably not one that would have been edited in the first place, but I have no way of knowing.
