It's taken me a while to start watching films with ghosts in - even A Christmas Carol - and then eventually I started smoking pot and it didn't bother me at all. But there are still some things I would have trouble with doing because of the remains of my christian conscience.
Anything you guys still haven't brought yourself to do yet?
I've been going to church. My witness husband hates it.

Go in a church to a service other than a funeral or wedding. Having had Babylon the Great thrown down my throat for the last few years, it just seems the ultimate act of rebellion.
Celebrating Christmas, birthdays and other occasions feels easy. Watching 'inappropriate' films isnt so bad - I probably did a lot of that as a witness. but the church thing, well, it will probably be one of the last things I do as I shake off the shackles of the wt.

i give as much $$ as i can to
all sorts of human rights
campaigns, i am in a degree
program, i am on 2 very active
xjw sites, i have encouraged my
kids in their relationships, i tossed
the entire concept of "headship"
and released my hub from any and all
responsibility for my emotional well-being
and now we are much better friends!
not much i want to do that i havent
and nothing will stop me from doing it
if i think it will be a boon to my life or
someone else's....
so the most apostate thing i AM doing
is living a deliriously happy life!!!
i still feel guilty after saying "merry christmas". i've been breaking that habi lately though.
i guess you could say i'm a frequent toker, too. i did it first while still "in" and didn't think it was too much different than having a beer with a few good friends.
Carpe have you told my mum yet?? She rang me today and didn't mention you at all :( lol
I am over 40 and have still not smoked pot. I hope to remedy that some day.
