Sent anonymous letters to the society?

If you spend ANY time at Bethel, you'll know how letters are handled. The older men openly ridicule people (and Bethelites) who write anonymous letters.

Even if the letter were not anonymous, the answer has already been written. It's this: "Wait on Jehovah."

    Period.

    Next.

I think they had that WAIT ON JEHOVAH made into a rubber stamp.

I say go for it. The more letters they get the better. It will not do any real good but then again who truly knows. I have written and yes I have not seen any real good come of it but I know it bugs them. So go for it I say.

    Turthexplorer,

I have written letters to the Writing Department, but used my real name. I always mailed them with a "Return Receipt Requested" form attached, so that I would know that my mailpiece got there safely. I say go for it! The Writers need all the help they can get, and enough feedback is one way to cause them to think. I figure that they forwarded a copy of what I wrote to my local congregation, but I didn't let that bother me.

In the UK, the Branch usually ask; "if they can share what you have said with your local Elders?"

Then of course the local Elders write to the branch telling them what a heap of dung you are

and there is NO truth in anything you have said! and that is that, but worth writing.

I'm wondering what you WANT to happen? I have never sent a letter to the society. Well once when I was about 7, someone in field service gave me extra money for the mags. I taped it to a note and sent it to Watchtower Soc. I never heard anything back. Any letters I have or would send out would be to individual people. lisa

    Pearls Before Swine

(Matthew 7:6) . . ."Do not give what is holy to dogs, neither throw YOUR pearls before swine, that they may never trample them under their feet and turn around and rip YOU open.

Yeah, here's what's going to happen:

Some pimple-faced 19 year old lackey will open your anonymous letter. The instant he sees it is critical of the org., he'll stop reading and pass it up to his boss.

The boss will take the critical letter and immediately, without reading anything of its content, look at the back page to see who signed it, with the idea of forwarding the info to your elders. When he finds no name, he'll immediately throw it in the trash.

Probably about 3 paragraphs of your 10-page letter will actually be read, and and it will be promptly dismissed as the ravings of a disgruntled apostate.

If it makes you feel better to put the words on the paper, go for it. Just don't have any grand expectations of the effect it might have.

Alternatively, you can remove anything that might identify you as the writer and then send a copy to everyone in the congregation except the elders.

It is an unusual letter that is read by anyone at Bethel in a position higher than an ordinary elder.

Anonymous letters are not taken seriously
