If that is so about the number of partakers increased to 10,857 from last year of 9,986,,increase of 871 so 8.7% increase.
Hi, Mad Sweeney.
Is there a JW source for that 10,857 number? Who made the chart in your link, Possible?
The information source of that number is "Yearbook-2010."
It is written on the 31st page of that book.
Since I'm a Japanese ex-Jehovah's Witness, it is difficult to show you an English information source directly.
That information source in Japanese is here.

In the 5th line from the top, it is written as "Memorial Partakers Worldwide: 10,857" in Japanese.
That is, the Watch Tower society itself has described that number.
Well, Mr. laodicea who is a Japanese active JW made that chart.
His blog is here.

Gosh, so it's official. An increase in partakers for the last Service Year of 8.7%, up to 10,857 from last year of 9,986!
That's two years running with an increase of nearly 10%. The GB will be squirming at this.
Thank you possible-san.
Thank you possible-san!
baptisms down 4.6%, aux pio. down 5.4%
possible-san,,, did Japan increase much? Can you give us the data breakdown for Japan?
The May 1, 2007 Question from Readers article re-opened the Door to Heaven. This increase is a natural result of that noolite, IMHO.
Hi, Gayle.
did Japan increase much? Can you give us the data breakdown for Japan?
Sorry.
I am an ex-Jehovah's Witness. (I left from the organization around 2003)
So, I do not always grasp the newest information.
Probably, if you ask in my forum, they (active JWs) will answer.

Unless I investigate it, I cannot immediately reply to that question now.
But, in my opinion, in Japan, their number does not increase any longer.
