    Waiting, Waiting

You just had to butt in didn't you - and we were trying to have a little
cultural dialogue here - then your
    vulgarities pop-up -- I just the
    'girl can't help it.'

Just figured out I can rearrange the letters in 'waiting' to: twangii, - another peculiar habit of mine, along with banging on pots and yelling "Happy New Year" while standing at the front door in my nightie.
Hmmm, I can fashion 'uzzi waits' -
from mine.....eeeek! Well, I guess any cultural edification is on the back burner now, because I'm laughing so hard I can't remember what I wanted to tell 7of9.

    Shoot, wazu,

Seven's not as cultural as you think she is! The dog can cuss me under the table. Besides, her quote was not that cultural. Just gave me a good lead-in. Besides that- you're not old enough to say "waiting, waiting," to me.

    Larc is, however.

ps: Just reread Seven's quote - maybe it was a tad higher classed than mine. But my men were as famous as her man - just got caught saying unclassy things. Not my fault....

edit - leaving my mistake for you ZAZU! Wazu really wasn't a Freudian slip, I think.

Hey, back to the Celtic music. I just happened on this thread while searching for the horse story.

I think we had this discussion once before. Love Loreena and The Chieftains. I've got one of their CD's that they did with James Galway.

Seven, you and Snowball keep practicing the tin whistle, and I'll start practicing again on my flute. We'll start a band.

YEA! Lets start our own celtic band! An ex-Borg, a pig, and a red horse....what a motley crew we would make! hahaha!

So what is the flute like? Is it much harder to play than a tin whistle? I've got aspirations of someday playing the ulien pipes. (i know Im spelling that wrong)

    RHW,
I didn't know James Galway did anything with them. What are the titles?
Can I be in the band? I can sing sometimes.

TW, yes, he did one CD that I have, but I can't think of the title offhand. It was very different from his usual flute music. They were great together!

I've never tried playing a tin whistle, but I would think that it would be somewhat similar to flute playing. I haven't been practicing lately, but I took lessons for a couple of years. I really loved it, and I should get back to playing.

Ulien pipes (I have NO idea of how to spell it).....are they similar to the Pan Flute? I have been trying to find a source for a Pan Flute for quite awhile...I just LOVE the sound. I got a small Peruvian pan flute on eBay, but it's pretty small and not really what I was looking for.

    Seven,
I love your clicks, please continue.
BTW, it took me two days to figure out what ROTFLMAO meant. I think I need to get out more.

My dear Steel Magnolia, a.k.a. waiting,

    Seven's not as cultural
    as you think she is.

Hmmm. Here are a few quotes for you from a movie about my favorite hell's belles-Steel Magnolias Truvy:Time marches on and sooner or later you realize it is marchin' across your face. * Ouiser:I'm not crazy, I've just been in a very bad mood for the last 40 years! * Clairee: The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize.*Clairee:If you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by meand Shelby:I'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.
