Sure the first article's a fake, but the other one isn't and it's just as wacky! I can see all the cats and dogs now with "NO BLOOD" ID collars and our poor ole' pet leeches trying to separate platelets from plasma.

Focus,
What's up with posting THAT???
And, pray, where did I say that the first article was from the Watchtower? (PDFs of the final April Fool's Day, 2002 issue of the Watchtower may be hard to acquire at the present moment...)
A PDF of the second article is certainly available. Actually, IMO it is the more fantastic article!
I take it, also, that you missed my signature:

If you follow the link all will become clear - so to speak, new light will burst forth upon you! The early work that appeared at the quoted URL is very inferior to what I posted, which is the "Prominent Bethelited" version - New Light so New that it hasn't flashed upon the Gibbering Baboons in Crooklyn as yet.
The articles illustrate the deceitful, specious and obfuscatory techniques of argumentation and "proving" employed by the Watchtower Babble & Trappem Sicksiety. Which article does it better, I leave to you to judge.
I omitted the part about how to kill your existing cat in case any of the brainwashed ones "in the truth" actually followed the advice from the Fruitcakes & Demented Suckers (FDS). Perhaps it went along the lines of the w64 2/15 127-8 article, which argued that in terms of responsibility, the position of a pet-owner to a pet is like that of a parent to a child. And we all know what Deut. etc. have to say about dealing with a certain type of child... The Watchtower quotes the verses often enough:
'In case a man should happen to have a son who is stubborn and rebellious, he not listening to the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and they have corrected him but he will not listen to them, then .. all the men of his city must stone him with stones and he must die.' (Deut. 21:18-21, NW)
So, as to unruly youth, to cat??
w52 11/15 703--
In the case where a father or mother or son or daughter is disfellowshiped, how should such person be treated by members of the family in their family relationship? .. We are not living today among theocratic nations where such members of our fleshly family relationship could be exterminated for apostasy from God and his theocratic organization, as was possible and was ordered in the nation of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai and in the land of Palestine. 'Thou shalt surely kill him; thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him to death with stones, because he hath sought to draw thee away from Jehovah thy God, .. And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is in the midst of thee.' -Deut. 13:6-11, AS.
Focus,
Ahhhhh, NOW I see the "(Newer light than at http://www.jwfiles.com/ex-jw-humor1.htm Class)"

P.S., Focus?
I think that my gullibility had something to do with lack of
morning coffee and my cats wandering around me!
May I please be excused now? ô¿ô
Laughing at herself class,
Undine

Dear Undine and others
No problems!
The article well illustrates how the Watchtower employs apparently reasonable language and argument to "prove" the most absurd points, does it not?
Note that the 1964 Watchtower article on blood transfusions for pets, the evils of blood'n bone fertilizer and other nonsense is, however, the real McCoy.
Truly, which article was "worse"?

("Big Cat Kind" of Christian-EATER Class)
Quote from phony article:" By allowing one's cat to roam uncontrolled, the Christian becomes a party to this serious breach of God's law of life.
This actually was a statement that DID come from the society in real life.
Years ago william cetnar(now deceased)was trying to prove the fallacy of the dubs to his friends wife.
He said to her..."i saw your cat eating a bird the other day....did you know the society forbids this!" She said "that is rediculos".
He said 'want to bet'?
So he called the society and asked about the cat eating bird situation and their reply to him was..." keep a better eye on your pets"
This is a true story that can be found on a testimony cassett tape that bill and joan cetnar made.Better yet...call and ask yourself.
Mr.cetnar used to work at bethel in close quarters to the writing dept.
Focus,
After reading the real McCoy Watchtower article it is plain to see
how bombarded we were with ridiculous minutiae!!!!!!! I do remember, as a
teenager, obsessing over whether or not certain candy bars contained "blood products"
as back then even THAT was a bloody issue! (pun well intended ~¿ô)
Incredible, all of it, eh?
Be well,
Undine
Nice parody - kudos!
