"You've met your daddy dead drunk!"?
My g'ma used to say that with such relish when any of us got into trouble.
However, I don't recall who was dead drunk - daddy or junior.
Whichever way it went, though, someone was in deep trouble.
I've googled the keywords, African-American sayings and proverbs, but nothing.
Anyway, when Russell and Rutherford teamed up, it seems both had met their daddies dead drunk!
WT has also met its daddy dead drunk in the form of the Internet!

That is a new one, for me.
To me, it suggests that "daddy" is drunk, and perhaps there is the potential for him to mete out some not-so-gentle discipline.
