Never heard or met anyone who believes any such thing until this thread. I find it difficult to believe that it's a majority belief among Christendom.

The General Resurrection doesn't happen until after the thousand years have ended. This will not be a happy time because they are resurrected to stand trial as a complete person - a united spirit/soul/body ....in other words ALIVE.
You can of course read the bible yourself and interpret most of it literally and learn a great deal. Once you go allegorical as the standard, a doctrine can end up anywhere. Many bible teachers use the allegorical method. I do not.
