nightmares after leaving

  Hello everyone, I have been reading the different topics and haven't seen this discussed....

  I was raised in the 'truth' and decided when I was 19 this was not for me...but unfortunately it took years after that to finally make the clean break. During that time and up until about a year ago, I was having strange and disturbing nightmares..it finally came to a head when I dreamed that I cussed out the elders in the congregation I had left.,..woke up in a sweat but felt great! Since then I've not had ANY more!

  Has anyone else experienced this? You can't tell me that wasn't mind control!!

  I used to have not frequent nightmares, but more that I used to when I was younger. Since not serving as an elder (over a year) and starting our families slow fade I can teel you that I have never slept better in years. I enjoy frequent deep sleeps with lucid, relaxing dreams. I acutually go to bed much earlier than I used too. I can recall frequent late nights and lost sleep which I am sure contributed to the hightmares.

  Glad to see you posting.

  Funny you say this. I used to have the dumbest dreams about the WTS after I left. Now after some time away, never.

  Usually for me, it was I came to the KH and forgot I had a part. Sometimes, it was I working at Bethel AGAIN!!! Arg!

  Now for the dream I would like to have?

  I'm hiding in the GB conference room and secretly recording how they are planning to steal all the WT money, laughing at all the stupid JDubs that believe this stuff, while smoking cigars.

  I would have the bad dreams after being contacted by my mother who is still deep in the 'truth' after 50 years...she is the queen of guilt and we would have arguments. But now, I can have a sane conversation with her and no more bad dreams! Glad I'm not the only one!

  Thank you dissed! This is new and wonderful to be able to state my opinions!!

  I would also dream about coming to a meeting and deciding right in the middle of the Sunday morning talk that I didn't care to be there...get up and start yelling at everyone how stupid and blind they are! Wild!

  I had a lot of frightening "demon dreams." Also I often dreamed my parents would come by my house, shove me in the backseat of their car, and force me to go in servic with them. I'd be frantically digging in my purse for my cellphone to have my husband come rescue me!

  No nightmares for me.

  You know what I really miss? I've not gotten to threaten to shoot or whip anymore aloholic abusing husbands for calling me up after I would counsel the sister to leave his sorry ass.

  Man, those were good times.

  I've never had problems with nightmares but my husband has a lot of demon dreams. It concerns me.

  Oh boy did I ever have nightmares. I would wake up yelling with my heart racing...

  I'm glad those days are over.

  (Like I've said before... it really DOES just keep getting better!)

  I never had the demon dreams. However, I have had dreams about a disfellowshipping announcement on my behalf while I was still a witless (oddly enough, in the dream the reinstatement announcement came right in the very next part of the same boasting session). For what, I do not have a clue.

  I have also had dreams about being at a boasting session for whatever reason. I would find myself at the Kingdumb Hell, and not know how or why I got there. By the time I realize that I was breaking my resolution to never go back, it was too late. Or, I would be out in field circus (both when I was in, and sometimes now) and not prepared. I would have no littera-trash, maybe a Bible (if that), and not even properly dressed. (I have also had dreams of being at a boasting session not properly dressed.) I have even had dreams of placing littera-trash with a householder when I didn't even have it when I started out.

  However, I never had dreams of getting possessed by demons or getting destroyed at Armageddon.
