I do at work; it is a work rule. I don't wear much perfume anyway but there is always perfume in soap, laundry soap, etc.

    Elsewhere:

" I am very sensitive to cologne, perfume and hairspray.

I become physically ill when I'm around any of those things and begin to experience stomach cramps, nausea and headache. "

Perfect. Now rewind the tape however many years ago it was when you were at least a semi-believing JW. Would it have been in your long-term best interests if tons of "Brothers & Sisters" blatantly ignored your situation? I'm thinking Yes. I know in the short run it's very rude and is why I stopped wearing it years ago. But now, would it serve the greater good to become Pepe le Pew?

I am naturally pleasantly oderiferous. I would not want to cover up my delectable aura with an unnatural aroma.

    Same for me.

I never expected people to stop wearing it tho. It was my problem, if I couldn't handle it I would move to another seat or, if nothing else... leave.

I certainly wasn't making it up or doing it for attention. I envied people that could enjoy such things, especially scented candles and soaps. I always felt deprived in those areas.

Slightly OT: I'm not sensitive to a normal amount of perfume. However, I visited someone recently, went to their Presbyterian (I believe) service. I WAS DRIVEN OUT! The censor (sp?) that was being swung about was overpowering! What do they do for people with asthma who either 1) want to attend a Christmas service or 2) hope to become a leader of the congregation that would require them to handle the stuff.

Back on Topic: Long ago when I attended, there was a person with a perfume allergy - they sat in the library so not to cause problems for the rest of the congregation.

A lot of it is for attention, I think. Witnesses typically have some strange disorders like this.

Agreed. Witnesses have more than their fair share of psychosomatic disorders. Mostly, they just need to get out into the real world and breathe. Drink some beers, have some real sex, see a good movie. That would solve a lot of their health problems.

I am allergic to cigarette smoke......Lady Lee

    So am I..

    But..

    I smoke cigars..

I have no allergic reaction to them..

They put alot of Wierd-Ass chemicals in cigarettes..

My son-in-law smokes cigarellos. I have just a small reaction to them and he only smokes them in the garage so I just don't go in there after he has been smoking. I don't mind pipe tobacco either. In fact there are some that I love. Must be all that crap they put in cigarettes. I have my worst reaction to Player's cigarettes - the kind my father chained smoiked when I was a kid. I don't even have to see who is whmoking what and I know if they are smoking Players
