Not a rock opera, but......this chick Anouk rocks! Dutch girl that I stumbled onto a few months ago. Listen to her PinkPop 98' stuff, it's awesome.

Wow. Some of these bring back memories.
Teel, I used to have a fringe jacket kind of like Judas's. It always bothered me that stereotyped imagery was used in that the "black guy" represents evil or the bad guy. So I gave equal time with the rock opera "Hero!" where one of the few times Jesus is represented as being the black guy.
Nathan, you found the Susan Sarandon song that I like so much. Years ago, friends and I would go to the midnight cult showing of Rocky Horror. Of course, everyone in the audience would stand up and flick their bics when Susan sang that number. (In between throwing hotdogs and screaming "where's his neck?")
Think About It, I really liked the Anouk performance. I can't imagine why anyone would throw an egg at her...and it was a damn good shot, to boot. But she was unstoppable. She has a lot of character!
