It is tragic that for whatever reason some one receives this level of abuse and neglect. What is so sad is that although the level of abuse in this case was extreme other children are still suffering behind closed doors.
This brings to mind other recent threads relating to bad experiences of childhood and whether children are safe within the organisation. These indicate that the society has much to answer for by giving validity to excessive punishment and failing to learn from it's own history.

I heard a group of locals discussing this doco as I was leaving the pub tonight. Unfortunately, I couldn't stop and join in, but it was good to hear that the doco wasn't missed by the general public.
The thread nugget is referring to is probably my mum taught us very valuable lessons about Jehovah in her special way. Any other parents out there as psycho?
