That could work too. Probably you would want to start with a course on Comparative Religions. If you do, don't be surprised if the don't mention JWs at all or include them with flying-saucer cults.

Hey! Here's something you might want to look at!

They produce some good programs and it is all self-paced, so you don't have to worry about a grade.

I enjoy the church of bob every now and then. Worship whenever you want, quit whenever. No expectations from you, and the creator doesn't give a shit either.

"why do I feel the need to look for one anyway?"

Aye, therein lies the rub, friend.

Well, what do you think? Be honest with yourself. If you think you feel that need because evolution and evolution alone "programmed" it into you, with no apparent evolutionary benefit - as many no doubt intelligent people do - well, then, there you have it. Problem solved.

    Myself, on the other hand...

"Buddism - you ever study it?

    How about Judaism?"

I, too, many times feel strangely drawn to both the Judes and the Budes... Monotheism vs. Nada-theism... ones and zeros...

    agonus,

Believe me, I'm completely agnostic. I don't discourage those who want to find faith after leaving the cult unless they are those freaking fundie nutjobs that are just as bad as radical islamists, if not worse because they are so utterly stupid they can't even see how nuts they are... (rant over)

Buddism, I studied, nope. Judaism, more of a social club than anything.
