Yes if you have unreal expectation or expectations are to high you can set yourself up for disappointment. Thus becoming a self fulfilling prophesy. Maybe you could avoid that by bringing your expectations down a notch or two.

I remember saying to my 2 girls on more than one occasion that people in the world will let you down but the brothers and sisters and the society won't. I've been eating my words ever since...F.S., yes we all crap on each other now and again, and it's hard to wipe off, but there ARE decent people, good people on this earth that will at least try to find a toilet instead!
